FXstreet’s Forex Trader of the Year REAL Contest 2010 started 3 weeks ago, so here you have the most important highlights we can extract from it:
- From the original 257 registered contestants, only 48 qualified for the contest after posting a message in the social network ForexStreet.net. At the end of the 3rd week only 33 contestants were still posting their statements. In particular, two contestants left the Contest due to a big loss that wipe out their accounts.
- On the first week the average return was +0.74%, but in the second week that value fell to -11.61%. It’s interesting that this fact coincides with the week in which BoJ intervened selling JPY across the board. In the third week, average return is -4.30% though there are still some statements to be posted.
- So far the highest return is for M. Leidl, up 65.68% at the end of the 2nd week; On the other hand Computer has the worst return (excluding those contestants that left the Contest), down 50.43%.
These numbers clearly show that this Contest is going to be very tough as traders will have to be careful with market volatility and the huge profits that some contestants are having so far.
