I just saw a post from Alberto Muñoz manager of FXstreet’s Forex Trader of the Year Contest 2010 that left me quite shocked. After just one week ago since the demo contest started here you have some of the highlights of the event:

1. 452 traders have traded at least one time.

2. 89 traders burnt the entire account, totaling ,450,000

3. Losses out pace Wins almost 3 to 1.
110 traders winning ,479,022.22
342 traders losing ,538,644.45

3. Global equity of contestants shrink to ,640,377.77 from the initial ,150,000. Gross loss is ,509,622.23, which represents 21.06% of all contestants funds and 49.94% of active ones.
