An interview this morning with Fed Governor Charles Evans produced a little more than the market expected.  While not scheduled to speak in an official capacity, he was giving an interview to CNBC where he was extrememly candid.  The interview did not inspire confidence in the economy or the Fed response to inflation, and as a result, gold went flying higher in a few ensuing minutes. 

These Fed officials need to be more cognizant of the impact of their words and its a shame that a news outlet like CNBC is now creating news and not just reporting on it!
